Peter Krapfel, Founder and CEO
Born in 1968 in Vienna, Peter Krapfl has grown up with computers and electronics since the age of four. He is a natural born CVO. Striking his first major deal at the age of 15 – the development and successful worldwide selling of two computer games – Peter quickly discovered the potential of earning money with computers. After finishing his studies of Computer Science and Organisation early at Vienna’s HTL Spengergasse he worked for a few years for companies like Ashford (Xenix OS), Cromemco (3D Animation systems), TopCall (Telecommunications) and the Philips Research Labs (Consumer Electronics). In 1996 he founded a company together with Robert Zapfel which was acquired in 2001 by DaoTec. Peter also works as court certified expert for information technology and software development. His hobbies include new ideas, sport cars and travelling.
Robert Zapfel, Founder and CFO
Robert Zapfel, born in 1967 in Vienna, studied Information Technology at the Technical University of Vienna. Specialising in large scale high performance computer systems he worked for Bull Systems, Siemens, and IBM.
Following his challenge to create something remarkable he founded his first IT Company in 1989 which grew rapidly and had key customers like The Coca Cola Company and Panalpina.
From his past experience Robert has profound management skills and contributes his know how and insight in the fields of commercial and technical management as one of the directors of DaoTec. His hobbies include sailing and aircrafts.
Oliver Jura, COO
Oliver Jura, born 1969 in Vienna, Austria studied business administration at the University of Economics in Vienna. He started in the fields of logistics and soon became general manager of an international forwarding agency and transport enterprise. End of the 90's Oliver developed the idea of a virtual freight broker and founded together with Bertelsmann, SAP and Hermes Kreditversicherung the Eulox Logistics Exchange. In 2003 he wanted to cross industry lines and became interested in the telecommunication industry. He quit the logistics sector and joined DaoTec in early 2005. Oliver's economic experiences, language skills and his focus on internet business were an important input for the former development of DaoTec's products and services. His hobbies include skiing, mountain biking and trekking.
